My Video Editing Portfolio 2022 update

Image
I love editing and have fun with footage and audio.  My name is Paul Readman, I am a freelance audio / video editor  This began when I was broadcasting  live on net radio.  I edited various interviews for my Bandcamp and I was told I have  good ear audio editing. I began by uploading gig footage, interviews, news Vlogs and other videos on Youtube.  I saw this as a progression for my skills to grow and   experiments I like the idea of using footage for effects, overlayering as well as adding effects to footage.  I also try to recycle footage where I can and shot fresh / on location How I Roll I get a project I listen to what is required.  If needed I  source footage. I take footage and match the quality to every other I have or near it If required I upscale to near as 4k as possible Sometimes you come across footage that can add a visual curve to the story. I then edit a dra ft.  Feedback is roughly around 90% on first draft. I ...

Paid video promo work

Image
This started after being asked by a band The Shapes. to put a video together in November 2014 I completed another video for a Punk Rock, in style. The band is Last of the Dogs, which is now flying around, Facebook and Youtube I love video editing and putting together footage with ideas from lyrics and the pace of the song.  Not everyone can do this, or wants to do it. I will take on any type of work on. I don't mind the style,  It does not have to be music related.  I love video editing, piecing together, When a project comes along that needs fresh footage, or someone sends me footage to work with, I can do that. Its like a dance and make it run smoothly The videos                                               The two videos i produced for the bands are on this playlist                     ...

Ides of March gig, The Flapper, 15th March

Image
We returned to, The Flapper, in Birmingham to watch a few electro sounding bands, including, Among the Echoes performance on a Saturday night This time, i filmed it all. I have enough memory and batteries, that can easily handle all the gig. I was planning to do on camera interviews, but that never happened. it just the way it goes. This was part of two day trip to Birmingham, as me and my wife, Rhonda, booked.  Thought it was a good idea to explore a bit.  We were going to go to a gig on Friday night, to see Drag, but we changed our minds. Its funny when you book a room to stay overnight, you don't really get a chance to use it much. The Holiday Inn, is really comfortable, which, we have stayed in before. This time we booked two night. This time we spent a bit more time in the room and went out for a late meal and explored the shops.  Birmingham  You get an urban part, that goes into a newly built part. Its not just the area around the Bullring as we thoug...
