My Video Editing Portfolio 2022 update

Image
I love editing and have fun with footage and audio.  My name is Paul Readman, I am a freelance audio / video editor  This began when I was broadcasting  live on net radio.  I edited various interviews for my Bandcamp and I was told I have  good ear audio editing. I began by uploading gig footage, interviews, news Vlogs and other videos on Youtube.  I saw this as a progression for my skills to grow and   experiments I like the idea of using footage for effects, overlayering as well as adding effects to footage.  I also try to recycle footage where I can and shot fresh / on location How I Roll I get a project I listen to what is required.  If needed I  source footage. I take footage and match the quality to every other I have or near it If required I upscale to near as 4k as possible Sometimes you come across footage that can add a visual curve to the story. I then edit a dra ft.  Feedback is roughly around 90% on first draft. I ...

Silverspark,The Shapes, Torn Like Colours, Jericho Tavern, Friday, January 16th

After around ten years, due to being unable to come back the same night, I went back to Oxford for a night out.  Chris Oakes, who has been organising gigs in and around the Oxfordshire area for about 2 years, took his Strummer Room Project to Oxford, and held his first band night at the Jericho Tavern. I had never been there before, very nice venue. Its looks like a polish restraunt from the outside looking in. I like the way the place is laid out. The band area is upstairs so we got a beer and went through the maze of staircases Silverspark Matt and Carley have been performing Acoustic sessions around the counties through the Winter months. This was there last one I believe before the full band starts up again. Carley, has a great range, can hold note like no one else and has real vocal power. Matt on guitar and Matt Hewitson on the  Cajon and guitar. First time in two year I have seen these guys do an Acoustic set. The last time, is when they were a duo....

Among the Echoes, Fracture Album launch @The Flapper, Birmingham

Again, in Birmingham, for a couple of days. I think its better to stay for two days, and not rush around prepare for a night out, only to fly out of the hotel the next morning. I feel more relaxed going to a gig this way This time, we chose, The Premier Inn. Partly the reason for the change, was the payment system they have is far better.  The Holilday Inn website and many others, do not allow you to pay by debit card, which is very enoying. Did a bit of shopping and walking along the canal area and Birmingham center, which is very relaxing. This was for the Fracture album launch on Saturday night arranged and main band, Among the Echoes. This was, at the Flapper venue. As habbit would have it, i will be filming the bands.  I nearly had a heart attack when i found i left batteries and memory cards at home. Maplins, who are located only around the corner, had both, horaaaah Alex Paulee June( Man man of Elmo Sexwhistle) This guy is a genius with keyboards, although, i di...
