DJ Readman History of Record Shop Series and More

I'm back reselling on a platform. Vinted, i'm using as a testing ground to see how things go.  Vinyl first then CDs which really surprised me for not what sells but what they sell for. The Cure I found a 4 track Desintergration, 4 track album promo on CD. I put it up for £10 and within 2 minutes someone offered £7 and sold.   The one surprised I would say was Dio, Master of the Moon.  This was released in 2004. Uploaded it and went within 7 hours on a Friday night. This is only the second CD that has gone for press I put it up for. Slipknot Lets talkbbout last night.  I found " We are Not Your Kind"  CD.  I knew it would sell and gain interest.  Just gone 10pm last after people started seeing it, I thought someone's going to get that.  Sure enough bought it for the price I put on it £6. All this back and fourth from Canada has made it even harder to find work and wife has as well.  I had a great two years at Coop located down Queensway in Banbury.  When I returned I knew I couldn't just slot back into the workforce so I turned to what I love, reselling music.  I have never stopped reselling I just kept it on a small scale.  After my shop, record fairs and markets stalls, i stopping doing that and tried other avenues. Because of trips to Canada, work dried up I found  Vinted I heard about it from customers coming through Mid-counties Coop so I thought I would try it. I started buying vinyl and I thought, since CDs were kind of more around? I decided while I was looking for vinyl I'll sell CDs as well. I didn't really know if CDs would sell at all even the obvious genres like Rock and Punk. Well, CDs are selling which I'm kind of surprised but I'm glad they are. Rose White - Baby Girl   When I heard the song her voice reminded me of someone, Rosin Murphy, lead singer from Moloko, same kind of smooth sassy, husky voice. This has a very nice flow to it, jazz sound with her voice i hear PJ Harvy cross Amy Whitehouse and a tad of Swing Out Sister. I would say a jazz pop version of Moloko.
